Morning all.
May I please double-check on the issue of returning items?
I bought 6 separate items which were sent in one package - 5kg of books with a single layer of bubble wrap in a plastic envelope have not survived RM delivery... no surprises there & I'm pretty angry about such thoughtlessness and lack of care.
I need a refund obviously, but if a return is necessary it looks like each item must be claimed for separately... that's 6 INADs and therefore 6 individual tracked returns.
Or am I wrong?
I'm taking no chances with this seller and am perfectly happy to send 6 separate returns, of course, but who pays for the packaging?
I did contact the seller beforehand but he just hasn't grasped the situation... I've repeated the situation about the returns and included the CS "have us call you back" link so he can check for himself.
Anything I should or could be doing to help this along?

Just open a return for each and every order,
yes that is 6 separate orders.
Don't enter into a back and forth with the seller,
Just open the case state the damage that's it. for now any further issues come back.

If the packaging is unusable for the return you will have find something to send your books back in yourself.
Personally I'd use a cut up bin bag or a supermarket bag and lots of tape if I couldn't find anything else.

It never ceases to amaze me how some sellers care so little about their items once they are sold, that they are prepared to send them off with this sort of inadequate packaging.
They must surely be aware that parcels are not going to be very carefully handled in transit, and that books packed in plastic bags will inevitably arrive with bashed corners etc. Or perhaps some sellers truly believe one layer of bubble wrap has magical protective qualities, that can withstand fire, flood & earthquakes...?
It is quite upsetting to think how many nice items arrive damaged every day, due to poor/incompetent packaging.

Amazon are the worst for it with their proud announcement of using 40% less packing as we send in paper bags.
Delicate items sent in paper bags I've had to send loads back to them recently for damage, before cant remember last time I returned anything for damage it a recent thing in last 2 months.

They sent me 2 X Kallo Rice Cakes in a thin brown bag... at least there's no fuss or hoops through which to jump for replacements / returns / refunds.
