Re: Refund Help

Hi @c_annan_ptjvsit ,

Thank you for your post. You can request to cancel the order which should then issue you a refund.

  1. Go to your Purchase history and find the order you want to cancel.
  2. Select the More actions dropdown menu and select Cancel this order.
  3. Select Submit.

Thank you,

Kat

Re: Refund Help

Tell the seller to issue a cancellation on ebay.    If they don't do that when the estimated delivery date on the listing has passed select "Report an item you didn't receive" on here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/buying/returns-items-not-received-refunds-buyers/get-help-item-hasnt-arr...
and escalate it 3 complete working days later.

Re: Refund Help

Hikat@ebay    Does that actually issue a cancellation?   I thought the seller still had to implement it.

Re: Refund Help

Hi @**peaseblossom** ,

The seller will need to accept the cancellation request which in this situation they should be happy to do as they already confirmed the item was sold to someone else. Once they accept it, it will start the refund process.

Thank you,

Kat

A seller should not be allowed to avoid a transaction defect by forcing the blameless buyer to cancel to get their due refund.

Neither should they get away with citing an incorrect cancellation reason.

Furthermore, eBay Customer Service explicitly state the following

"If buyers have excessive cancelled orders for unpaid items or make excessive requests to cancel orders, they may be subject to the consequences outlined in our Unpaid item policy and Abusive buyer policy"

To read the full page on cancellations, including the above...
