No address to collect

I am very concerned about my case.  I bought an item on 22/11/24.

The seller refuses to answer my messages.

The seller refuses to tell me where the item is for collection.

I have requested a cancellation and refund.  Ebay has refused.  I either let the seller keep the money or collect it.

I have appealed.  When I did I was asked to give the item number or the order number.  Ebay refuses to accept either, saying the item and the order doesn't exist.

I have no idea where in London to collect it.  I waited a week and still no reply.  Now it is 4/12/24.  That is 12 days.

Is the seller  fraudulent.    Has he listed an item he doesn't have and taken the money?

He opened an account in September and now has no items for sale.

Should I receive a refund under the guarantee?

Yes,  you should be able to open a case this way now:

Go right of the item purchased,  and from More Actions select....  I Have Not Received My Item.

If you are not fully refunded within 3 days,  you must escalate the case on day 4 or within 30 days from opening the case,  and eBay will step in and force the refund.

Do not close the case early for any excuse or promise the seller may give,  and do not forget to escalate.

If there is any difficulty here contact eBay Customer Services for them to open this case for you, but I do recommend contacting only very first thing in the morning when the lines first open at 8 a.m. as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

This is the easiest and quicket way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

As said,  I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
