You cannot report this to eBay as they do not offer warranties or guarantees on items, just that they are just as described on receipt.  If they are not,  a buyer has 30 days under eBay's 30 day MBG,  Money Back Guarantee policy,  to return the item for a full refund.

If you bought this from a Private seller you are too late to claim a refund.  Doubt your payment provider can help after that length of time.

If purchased from a registered UK business, who offered a guarantee and is now not upholding this,  then turn to Citizens Advice for your next steps,  if you wish to take this further.

Listen this ebay authentication GUARANTEE ... IS NO QUARANTEE AT ALL . ITS A FALSE PROMISE. ITS BASICALLY THEIR EXPERTS . WHO ARE NOT REAL EXPERTS THAT CAN SPOT EASY AND OBVIOUS  FAKES BY USING STANDARD AND OBVIOUS  TELL TELL SIGNS LIKE WEIGHT OF WATCH  FINISH MATERIALS USED. NOT SURE IF THEY EVEN OPEN A WATCH UP AS THAT MEANS NOTHING . IF YOU HET A WATCH APPRAISED BY A REGISTERED SAY ROLEX DEALER TJEY KNOW HOW TO OPEN IT UP AND REMOVE  SOME INNER WORKINGS AND MATCH THE SERIAL CODES PRINTED ON CERTAIN PARTS WITHIN THE WATCH AND CAN TAKE THOSE CODES ,PUT THEM INTO THEIR SYSTE. AND CSN TELL YOU EVERYTHING A OIT THE WATCH ... FACT. EBAY CAN SPOT A BAD FAKE . THEY CANT SPOT A GOOD REPLICA  AS THEY DONT HAVE ACCESS TO SAY ROLEX COMPUTER  SYSTEMS. AGAIN FACT ... ROLEX. NIKE. CHANEL ETC AND EVERY SINGLE OTHER  MANUFACTURER TOTALLY DISPUTE ANTTHING EBY SAY SO DONT BE SURPRISED IF THEY SAY ITS REAL AND ITS NOT ... WHAT EBAY SHOULD DO IS STAY OUT OF IT .. LET YOU BUY A WATCH FROM A SELLER . LET YOU GET IT OFFICIALLY APPRAISED AND IF IT IS A FAKE ENSURE ANYONE SELLING A HIGH END ITEM  HAS AT LEAST £200 IN TJEIR ACCOUNT THAT IS RING FENCED AND CANT BE WITHDRAWN UNTIL YOU HAVE IT APPRAISED AS AN OFFICOAL WATCH APPRAISAL WILL COST YOU £1/200. And not tell you it's real.. it's a con. If they say its guaranteed real people don't get it oficially  appraised. And a month a year or 5 years later you go to sell it and are told sorry its not real and also their license  with rolex says they have to put a hammer through the dial to ensure this fake is not circulated so you get a smashed up watch returned to.you and then what

.. it's hard luck... but what you can do is research yourself realise it's likely to be a fake and good old ebay are happy for you to sell it on ebay as real ....so ypu can pass it on to some other idiot... they make out they have experts in every watch handbag and designer item.. it's nonsense. It's untrue.... their guarantee is that in their world they consider  it genuine.. so it's maybe 60% likely to be real... but that's all 60% chance it's real . But China are producing such good replicas, that are not cheap. I mean £500 for a really good replica.  But it's still a replica ...and when you go to sell it anywhere but ebay it will become known ... facts ...read their  small print ... says nothing about actually being genuine . Twitters on about their experts doing all these checks but only checks worth anything is the actual dealers who can take it apart and actually know how to take it apart and match up the codes deep.inside the watch and the. Go.on. their national.database and be 100% sure it is a real item ... all facts . Sorry to miss on ypur parade

I sell rare nike trainers on ebay I've sold 256 pairs . Every pair I sell I'm told to send for authemication... never have sent 1 to them...over told them if nike don't verify what your doing then I don't... not sending a £500 pair of shoes to a warehouse where 2/300 staff have access to them opportunity to switch them for a fake pair... no thanks... Nike say they are not experts and don't know how to guarantee their trainers. So I send to buyer direct and tell buyers why and tell buyers . You be the judge  . Your the one paying for them..so you decide . You make your own checks ok. And I've had zero returned.... so.ebay are not happy with but my customers are. Also the authenication check means they take 20% of sales fee . Ah for a check that means zero. If they send you a fake pair they guaranteed you.cant return it ashame as they say it is real. So why they take 20% ??? Lol some real dumbass moves. They now tell me to advertise my trainers  is customised so.they don't have the embarrassment of me ignoring them lol... I've had lengthy discussions  with their head  of authentication  and he agrees that it's not an actual guarantee that an item is real , more a it's likely to be real, and if it's not then they should be praised for trying to stop obvious gakes being sold as real ...  lol !!!!! That's little comfort to people who take the so called guarantee  at face value until.tjey get a nasty surprise when told by an actual.expert that it's not .... false hope x x fact .

What i will say is this ok. Watches are seen as an investment... as say a mint condition rolex kept in a box unworn from 10/15 years ago is worth more than same make and model made in 2024 ok. So why can't rolex train ebay staff  and give them access to their watch data base so they can give a genuine verification ... reason is rolex as an example  get  paid £ 1/300. To make an official valuation. And it actually represents 30% of their  revenue... for insurance purposes if you have an official valuation insurance companies must pay out if stolen plus tje cost of the valuation so it a lovely side line for them....unless you have the receipt of purchase...

@masonb2012   said...' sorry to miss on you parade' .

You are not speaking to eBay here, I am a member like yourself,  and was only answering your question,  what to do if you bought a counterfeit item .

You did not mention when you bought this,  and no mention that it went to eBay's Authenticity dept.

Sorry,  but with no access to your account,  we can only give answers to the information you can provide.
