Bought an item, seller posted with evri, as soon as tracking was available as usual i asked for it to be delivered to parcelshop, over the next two weeks tracking showed the item travelling across the country before finally arriving at the parcel shop and ready for collection. I go to collect item, it's not there, i go back a few days later, still not there. Today is the 10th day where tracking shows it is still at the parcel shop.
To complicate matters, Evri will not talk to me nor the seller as whenever we give the delivery post code it says 'not valid' We have tried the original post code, the parcel shop post code even the sellers home post code, nothing works.
I am scared to open an INR claim as the tracking incorrectly shows it at the parcel shop and I worry that ebay will tell me its delivered and reject the claim, I was hoping that eventually the status will automatically change to returned to sender, which I think would enable me to raise an INR but so far it has not.
What should I do in this situation?

Ask the seller if it was posted through ebay/packlink.
If it was the seller needs to contack packlink not evri.
(hopefully your seller had a return address on the back?)

Email says its a "eBay Simple Delivery" so it looks like it was sent through packlink. Ill let seller know they need to contact ebay rather than evri.

Ah, if it was a 'Simple Delivery' tell the seller they should have nothing to fear about a parcel going astray. 🙂
Loss and damage in the post (apart from things on the exclusions list, but that's a whole other subject...!) is EBAY'S responsibility, *not* the sellers , if it was posted with Simple Delivery.
(S.D. doesn't actually use packlink though, but that's neither here-nor-there in this case.)
