Return not delivered and not being collected

Back in February I purchased what should have been a new monitor.  What turn up was a renewed monitor with a stand that wasn't new and didn't fit.  I tried to resolve with the seller over a couple of weeks with no resolution.  So I requested a return.

He ignored it so I had to request eBay to step in, they provided a return label and I've returned the monitor.  However there have been several attempted deliveries and now it is waiting redelivery or collection.

So the seller has either provided an incorrect address or is ignoring/refusing to receive the delivery or to collect.

Where I do I go from here?

Return not delivered and not being collected

Seller may be trying to run the clock down, escalate the case if one is still open today or get cs to ring you tell them what is going on

eBay Customer Service

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open, as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

Return not delivered and not being collected

If you still haven't received your refund by the time you read this reply and the case has not yet been closed, click on the blue button to escalate the case to eBay.  So long as the eBay Returns Label supplied by the seller shows attempted or successful return of the item to the address provided on the label then eBay will force through a total refund of the money that you paid to the seller, regardless of whether or not the seller actually agrees with this decision.

If you are considering leaving feedback in relation to the transaction, I would suggest holding off of doing so until after you have received your refund.  In some cases if you leave negative feedback for a seller before the case has been closed then if the seller asks eBay to remove the negative feedback left in relation to the transaction eBay will often comply with the seller's request and delete it, which completely misses the point of leaving it in the first place.  If, however, you hold off until after the case has been closed and then leave a comment relating to the transaction then so long as you don't say anything that seriously breaches eBay's rules with regards to what you can and cannot say in feedback eBay are more likely to refuse the seller's request to delete the feedback, especially if they had to step in and resolve the matter for you because the seller failed to do so.

adding to the advice already given -

If in the end you get nowhere contact trading standards via citizens advice as the seller is trading illegally as a private seller when they are actually a business seller.

My concerns have been raised, as others who have left feedback have already made comments along a similar line.
