i posted an item back signed for as seller agreed to refund if i sent item back and it says on track and trace website Sorry, we were unable to deliver this item at 01-04-2020 as the recipient is no longer at that address. We're returning the item to the sender.
AND ITS NOT JUST ME
THIS SELLER HAS SERIOUSLY SCAMMED A LOT OF PEOPLE AND I DONT NO HOW TO GET MY MONEY BACK
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT IF THEY GIVE ME FAKE ADRESS?
You can't be scammed on Ebay if you properly use the tools that Ebay supply (see the list below). You should have opened a Return Request, and Ebay would have supplied you with a tracked postage label (at the seller's expense if the return reason was for NAD). When tracking proved delivery or attempted delivery (as in this case), you would have been fully refunded.
If you're still within 30 days of the delivery estimate on the order when you receive the item back, do then what you should have done in the first place. And follow Ebay's instructions to the letter. If you find you're out of time, and you're returning because the item was NAD, open a Not As Described case in PayPal (you have 180 days from purchase date).
Ebay provides all the help you need, and in various places too:
- The 30-day Money Back Guarantee (on every eligible listing, and in various other places across the site).
- The More Actions dropdown beside each transaction on your Purchase History page.
- The Resolution Centre (link at foot of any page).
- The Help pages with their integral search (links at top and foot of any page).
Did you use the ebay returns label? This money for the label comes out of their account so would cost them to start the returns process and it proves the seller agreed to accept the return.
