Buyer excepted my request to return the item (£55) not as advertised.
Printed off the return label supplied by eBay, the item cant be delivered and has been returned to me. Royal mail have put a sticker on it that states address known and no such address. Checked on royal mail site the postcode is real but the house number is false.
I have looked at their feed back and another person has had the same problem. no such return no such address. eBay would not refund them.
They also put on the eBay advertisement as the items posted from Glasgow but the item come from Poland.
Any Idea how I get my money back, cant return the goods as the address is bogus.
I think this is one for ebay, what does the tracking show as attempted delivery should be good enough.
Make sure that the label which was supplied through ebay has a non existant address.
I amassuming that you opened a Not As Described Case and that the return label was supplied by Ebay and not the seller.
It happens - sellers forget to update their address details after they've moved, or supply those which are incorrect. It happened to me when I returned an item a couple of weeks ago. But that is their problem, not yours. Tracking only has to show 'attempted delivery', which is what has happened here - RM have attempted to deliver, but have been unable to because the address is incorrect. So just escalate the case or return request to Ebay on the date shown, and you'll be fully refunded.
Then send the seller a message, explaining what has happened, and telling them they have 30 days in which to supply you with a prepaid returns label if they want the item back. They can buy one from any carrier online, and email it to you. If they don't do so within that timeframe, the item becomes legally yours to do with as you wish.
