Seller agreed for a refund, item sent back, no refund coming forward

Hi

I bought an item that was wrongly described, I had a debate with seller till I showed them the difference between what they described in the listing andi and what the newer model looked like. The would not accept it was the wrong verson ieven though the new verison had 'Alexe;' built. Eventually the seller agreed a refund, I printed out the ebay laebl, it has been tracked as delivered. Now the seller saying its at a neighbours address and they can't get it, with no refund coming forward. They are asking me to phone the Post Office as they can't help....How do I know proceed.

Ignore the seller. Tracking only has to prove delivery or attempted delivery. Escalate to Ebay when the option appears. You'll be auto-refunded, and the seller will get a damaging defect slapped on his account for not  refunding voluntarily.

If he can't collect the item from his neighbour for some reason, then he needs to contact the carrier to get it sorted out.

No idea why he's mentioned the Post Office. The Post Office have absolutely nothing to do with deliveries.  Royal Mail deliveries are carried out by (you've guessed it!) Royal Mail.  So it is Royal Mail he needs to contact.

As you also sell on this account, I would advise you to add his Ebay ID to your Blocked Bidders List.

So long as the tracking proves attempted or successful delivery of the item back to the seller then you will get your money back.  If the seller refuses to refund you voluntarily and remains resistant to the idea of giving you your money back by the time you get the chance to ask eBay to step in and make a decision upon the matter then do as has already been suggested and escalate the case to eBay.  Once eBay see that the tracking proves successfully delivery of the item to the seller's address they will force the refund for you and you will get the entire amount that you paid to the seller returned to your account.

put the tracking in the case if you have not already done that, wait and then escalate the case as its shown as delivererd ebay will find in your favour and give you your refind, or phone CS  or use live chat or call back explain and they should close in your favour and issue your refund.

Escalate, all ebay want to see is proof of delivery. Where the item is, is not your problem it is the sellers problem.

What ever doescte seller mean by phone the Post Office.Doesn't he know that it is Royal mail who deliver NOT the PO. He can take up with his loca delivery office, they are who say it has been delivered and that is good enough for ebay.

Just ask eBay to step in for your refund..
