I placed an order yesterday and the delivery address was changed by, ebay, they deny it.

I placed an order with ebay yesterday. At the checkout I noticed another address I had used, so scrolled down to my address and, clicked it in. I got a message later that day to say, my order had been dispatched, I then noticed that ebay had changed my address

and put in the address I had removed. They deny it! What can I do?

You say in your post that in the address options you were shown at checkout there was another address that you had used before.  If that address is of somebody you know who could accept the parcel on your behalf then contact them and explain what has happened and ask if it would be OK if they could let you know when the parcel arrives so that you can collect it from them.

If the address in question is no longer applicable - for example, if you have moved house and you added your current address to your account without deleting the old one - then before you decide to buy anything else go back to your profile and delete the obsolete address that shouldn't be there.  Make sure that the only address on your account is the correct one that you actually want the item posted to, and once you've done that log into your PayPal account and do the same with that account as well so that there are no obsolete addresses showing up as delivery options.

Once you have updated the delivery addresses on both your eBay and PayPal accounts you shouldn't experience this problem again.  However, if you experience any further problems and need any more help feel free to post a new query on the forums and somebody ought to be able to offer you some advice in relation to the query.

Seller has to send item to paypal address, this is 1 you select when going through ebay checkout.

Can't see how ebay can change it when you select address.

If you still have access to old address, inform people there & ask them to accept parcel for you to collect.

"...ebay had changed my address and put in the address I had removed..."

That simply isn't possible.  All that can have happened is that you didn't properly select your chosen address.

Sellers can't ship to any other address than the one supplied to them by PayPal on the payment confirmation email.  If the item hasn't yet been shipped, let the seller know that you supplied the wrong address and apologise, so that they can cancel the Ebay transaction with 'problem with buyer's address'. That will auto-refund your payment and credit the Ebay selling fee back to their Ebay account. They can then relist the item so that you can repurchase with the correct address. Be aware, though, that sellers cannot recoup the PayPal payment processing fee when they cancel a paid-for transaction, so they may not wish to sell to you again. And the may chose not to cancel if they are not a business seller - private sellers do not have to accept cancellation requests.

If the item has already been shipped, all you can do is contact whoever lives at that address and make arrangements to collect it from there or have them ship it on to you.  You can buy a postage label online from any carrier, and either email or post it to the resident at that address. If the label isn't used within a certain timeframe, you can cancel it with the carrier for a refund..

I don't understand howyou think ebay have changed anything. The seller posts to the address shown on the Paypal Payment, that address is nothing to do with ebay. What ever address was on the payment you sent, that is the one you asked for item to be sent to.

On ebay in your ACCOUNT in the Address section there are FIVE sections that need to be completed, each one is for a different purpose.
