Hi i purchased an item on the 10th of may from America

HI the  item i purchased was 1 oz of fine silver Samuria art bar .it was purchase on the 10th may 2020 and it got as far as london via usps that was 9 days ago.I tried to contact the seller may times over recent days with no reply can some one out there tell what to do next.I opened a  case when it was still in the usa and closed it when told via the seller that it was now London on the 24th June

You should never close a case unless you get the item you paid for or a full refund.

You could try opening a claim for non receipt with Paypal but your item may be stuck in the system somewhere,maybe with customs.

If it's being delivered by UPS then you should have a tracking number,have you tried contacting UPS about it's location ?.

Once closed, you cannot re-open a case with Ebay, your only chance now is Paypal.

Doesn't matter if it is stuck in Customs, you haven't received it and therefore you should win. Only proof of delivery to you would cause you to lose.

When opening a case with paypal you must escalate between day 2 and day 20 so escalate on day 3.

Nine days is nothing at the moment. Customs are swamped, as are all the UK delivery services. Allow at least a couple of weeks for the item to get through Customs and to receive your VAT and import tax bill, if applicable, prior to delivery.  You have 180 days from purchase date to open an Item Not Received case in PayPal, so there's no rush.
