"We are changing the way you get paid"

Just me or anyone else had this? Accounts been open since 2007,  100% feedback, issues always resolved by me (except one that went to eBay because I was on holiday when the buyer finally returned an item that had been going on a while but this wasn't recent) today received a message from Ebay saying that from now on my funds will be held for upto 72 hours AFTER delivery has been confirmed, just me or is this a site wide thing, and if just me then why the sudden mistrust? Any item not received cases have always been closed in my favour  with tracking showing delivery,  and besides,  any recent item not received cases have usually been because eBay are showing people the wrong estimated delivery dates in the first place.... another well known site wide problem, it's like eBay doesn't want sellers 😂

Done the same to us beginning of July. But ours is 72 hours for tracked items and 30 days for untracked! All of our items are sent 2nd class as the items are such low cost the tracked post would cost more than the item itself. Really affected our cashflow going from next day payouts to 30 days!

Can I ask is yours 30 day payouts for untracked items as well?

Yeah I saw your posts after I posted, I might have paraphrased the message slightly, its 72 hours for  tracked, 24 hours for collected items and I assume it will be 30 days for anything untracked the same as you (might be able to expedite that if you get positive feedback, not sure how that works, automated or not)  im not 100% sure as the CS rep I got on chat was about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Can't see any reason for it, all my metrics are in line, Top rated seller, 100% feedback, I have had a higher proportion of not as described returns in the last month than normal (and I mean in a "what the hell is going on am I cursed or something" kind of level)  so possibly that has triggered it I don't know, annoying if it is that because I've dealt with all of them appropriately, and the last one was someone trying it on and returning their old broken part to me, which ebay ruled in my favour

I send everything tracked in one way or another so its not the end of the world, just annoying that I now need to take even more time out of my day to update tracking on every single order, some I can't because they go out on pallets and although I can access tracking info and pod for them if needed its not online and just a simple case of entering the tracking number on ebay, so I'll have to wait the 30 days for those I guess, that'll be fun because that's invariably the expensive stuff... also means my late delivery metrics will take a hit now because despite me selecting "other courier 3 - 5 days" as a postage option + 2 days dispatch time, (5 - 7 days total) ebay are STILL  giving 2-3 day estimated delivery times to buyers! another well known site wide problem that they refuse to acknowledge or do anything about

Just another nail in the ebay coffin for me, I'm done, I'll sell through what stock I have while moving in another direction with my business

Yes we are on 'the other much online marketplace' which dwarfs what we sell on here. Its just about still worth selling on ebay but with this new 30 day payout it would have killed us if we had not been selling on other marketplaces. Its quite scary how these platforms can literally kill your business overnight if they want to. We had no warning this new payout policy like yours was coming in. I would love to ditch off ebay but will have to wait a while longer to see if we can expand the other platforms to make it worth closing the ebay shop after 25 years and 46000 feedbacks. Ebays metric system for postage is now obsolete with the new royal mail 2nd class alternative day postage. Its causing our INR metrics to spike as the letters just aren't getting delivered. I think they are being left in a pile until the postie decides to deliver them. And my personal feeling is thats the same for 1st class letters as well even though royal mail deny this. Ebay sellers need more backing from ebay to stop these metrics spiking and have more support when it comes to buyers being able to open INR cases so quick.
