Windsor frame work info only

Had an email this morning stating the Windsor frame work has been moved to 1st of may 2025, so a few extra days of selling to NI,

This is just in case nobody else got the  email. email below

The UK Government has stated the arrangements for the Windsor Framework are now planned to take effect from 1 May 2025. This is a change to the previous date of 31 March 2025.

The Windsor Framework, the agreement between the UK and the EU amending the Northern Ireland Protocol and the legal instruments which sit beneath it, including but not limited to statutory guidance, is planned to take effect from 1 May 2025. We would encourage customers to familiarise themselves with the requirements. The guidance can be found here

The Windsor Framework requires that additional data is provided to send goods from Great Britain to Northern Ireland, the data required depends on the type of parcel movement. Customers will be able to provide the additional data in our shipping solutions when you are sending goods from Great Britain to Northern Ireland. If you are not sending goods from Great Britain to Northern Ireland, then no changes are required.

For more information on our products and services from Great Britain to Northern Ireland under the Windsor Framework, please visit here

While we continue to work with the UK Government and will update you on any changes to the new arrangements, businesses should be fully prepared for them by 1 May 2025.

If your orders are business to consumer (as I imagine most on ebay are likely to be) there isn't any change.
Its only if an order is B2B that there are supposed to be changes to work out if the order is at risk of being sold into the EU.

I appreciate on ebay there isn't really any easy way to know if you are selling to a business, short of checking each address as it comes through then having to request a UKIMS number etc.

There are of course other reasons you may not wish to sell to NI, for example GPSR requirements.

Shouldn't be any difference.

Send parcels from Northern Ireland to Great Britain

Qualifying Northern Ireland goods continue to have unfettered access to Great Britain when they are sent in parcels or freight. Unfettered access means that you can move parcels as normal, with no new requirements.

A small number of goods may be categorised as non-qualifying Northern Ireland goods. In this case, you may need to meet additional customs requirements such as making an entry summary declaration.

Yes it was an info only post so those that may not have been informed now they are.

I do not sell to NI because for my own reasons mainly i am the importer and do not live in Europe and the is no value in what i import i could pay someone else to be my responsible person,

I send my mail using a Royal Mail business account, and for some days now (I presume since 31st March, but I can't be sure), I have been forced to add extra info for any packages going to NI. Essentially, it is the same info that would go on a regular overseas transaction, but with no IOSS details.

Although the info is required, a customs form is not required.
