It doesn't apply to business sellers, but private.
Though I don't really see why it's that bizarre, as Simple Delivery has taken it's place?
After all, why would a private seller need a policy for delivery, when it's defined through SD?

It applies to Simple Delivery listings. Simple Delivery is only for private sellers so no, it doesn't apply to business sellers.

I see what you mean now, for a moment I thought this new business policies not working on the app was applicable to every seller on eBay, which I thought was the bizzare part but it makes sense to only be private. I did have business policies set up for my postage in the past as I preferred to have control over which courier I used but that is a separate complaint with regards to SD.

Did you resolve your issue..I'm now getting these messages and can't even sell similar off another listing for sale. I only use my mobile for selling..is this something new eBay has introduced as I've been selling since 2007 and I don't know what to do

As stated above, if you want to continue to list on the app then you'll need to opt out of Business Policies.

I'm listing on web browser on my phone now. It's weird. But that seems like the easiest option for me now. I'm so confused lol

If you look at my post at #10, that explains what's happening with a link to ebay's info page. As to why they've done it, that's anyone's guess but if you want to keep using Business Policies you can no longer list on the app.

That's strange. It was my understanding these new changes to the app etc only applied to private sellers

I thought the same thing. I hope it clears itself up by tonight, or it's back on my laptop. I can list so much faster on the app, oh well.
They will dump this on business accounts by Christmas, we all know it's going to happen.☹️

Used the app again with my business account, and all is well, able to use it like normal. Ebay is tweaking things again.
