Hi All,
Thank you for your posts.
There was a technical issue on Tuesday this week the 15th that did impact on demand payouts and scheduled payouts for that day but that was resolved.
There is an open ticket this morning with tech who are investigating these unscheduled payouts. Once there is a further update I will let you know.
Thank you,
Kat
Interesting... So many times when asked for help, this forum or any posts were not read by Customer Service hence not familiar with. Basically, always unaware of many complaints - very handy. When needed they can find it!

Hi, yes I had the same and wondering why 🤔

Sorry, but if you are using two different phones, to log into two different accounts, then the only way said phones would try to go to the other account, would be if you had used them to log into them.
The phones cannot magically remember login information for a different account.
And Ebay cannot do that either, as that kind of information is stored locally!

And will Ebay be reimbursing for the extra bank fees charged, due to this unscheduled payout?
I only withdraw my funds once per week for this exact reason.

Same here, am scheduled for Tuesday, payout came this morning

Hi All,
Just providing an update on this. It has been confirmed that the payouts were issued because of the technical issue that we experienced earlier in the week where sellers could not withdraw funds. Due to concerns that sellers payouts would be out of sync the decision was made to send a payout today to ensure that this did not happen. We apologise for the confusion that this may have caused and your future payouts will resume as per your current set up.
Thank you,
Kat

And you will be reimbursing my bank fees due to this?
It's not a lot for a single payment, but when you consider the number of the people this effects, it will add up to quite a sum I'm sure!
You (Ebay) also made no announcement about this. Surely, it is common courtesy to do so?

Thank you for your reply.
I completely understand your frustration about what happened, however eBay's policy is that we don't offer refunds/compensation when our services are interrupted.
While we do everything possible to ensure our service to members is uninterrupted, unforeseen issues can arise from time to time. We work hard to fix these as quickly as possible but, should our service be interrupted, our User Agreement states that eBay is not liable for any loss arising from use of our site.
Thank you,
Kat

I'm sorry, but this is not a service interrupted.
Purposely causing a charge to made is not the same.
However, again, NO ANNOUCEMENT. Common courtesy dictates that you let your users know when something is wrong..... Your obviously aware of this now, yet there is still nothing on the announcements.
What about those who do not read the forum?

There will be updates to the hubs on sellers accounts with the details.
Thank you,
Kat

The situation today was foreseeable. An error occurred effecting some payments. eBay made the decision to reissue all payments - WITHOUT ANY COMMUNICATION.
The necessity to do this, for all, is questionable. Whilst I can see it as time saving and a catch all from eBays perspective, it took the choice out of our hands - leading to costs, as mentioned by @therenewalworkshopltd and extra admin in administering this unscheduled payment by all effected.
This situation has caused concern/ has been unnerving to all those on thread and no doubt many others and still no eBay email has gone out to explain the reason for the extra payment.
Under eBays consumer duty as a financial institution eBay haven't shown duty of care to its customers by not communicating clearly.
kat@ebay I do appreciate you coming on thread to update usy
The lack of prior communication in this instance is by the payments team. For me, its the main bone of contention. eBays own help pages tell us to communication with our buyers prior to issues escalating - its remarkably effective, maybe the payments team could take that onboard.

I am a buyer, not a seller. However an extra payment of £1 has been paid out of my bank account. Has this unscheduled payment been taken from everyone, or should it only affect sellers?
Thank You
Steven.

So here we are, a couple of days later now.
Still no announcement and I have certainly not received an email from Ebay apologizing for this.
Or even telling me why this happened!
Is this a secret that nobody should know about?
Not having a go at you personally Kat, but the system. It's just not right to not keep your customers informed.

I still have had NO answer from any CS agent from Dublin or the US after numerous calls as to why our payouts are on hold for 30 days so don't expect an answer anytime soon I guess! They keep saying our account is all perfect with no restrictions and its JUST ebay policy sometimes. What kind of an answer is that? Or more likely its just AI doing its thing? Maybe?

@typo_lee Pure speculation on my part, looking at your feedback and number of revised feedbacks have you checked your metrics in the performance tab under service metrics and then item not received?
With so many comments about you being let down with postage and lost items I wonder if your 'item not received' has gone into the amber/ red and that's a reason often mentioned on the forums for longer payment holds.
If it has you can do some calcs on the numbers you need to do to pull it back into the average range and work out things like cost of upgrading some orders to tracked to help this along
