I know this is reoccurring topic, but something weird happened.
2 weeks ago my sales plummeted - but my views became erratic, showing higher views then the run up to christmas/valentines (Im a card company) all my sales at the moment are coming through repeat buyers.
Ive tried a sale, promoting more listings, taking down slow listings, I consistently list new listings and now I am as a loss what to try next.
My feedback is 100% and Im a top seller, the only things that changed 2 weeks ago is one return (customer accidentally ordered too many) this return is still open and processing. And ebay asked for my NI number which I gave them.
Anyone else having and similar trend? I Attached my views performance so you can see what i mean by erratic views.
I know slow periods happen, but its the run up to mothers day and Ive sold more mothers day cards on my independent unadvertised website then the ebay marketplace - which makes zero sense to me.
Any advice appreciated

We had a busuy period beginning of march then it died but we checked our stats and traffic was higher but with dead sales. Something very odd with ebay sales I must admit. Mind you our amazon store is dead at present. But I'm surprised with the state of the economy.

I can report similar, the only thing different for me too is an open return. A click and collect that the customer failed to pick up, but it seems to be lost on the return and has been sat open (I have called eBay about it).
I ran a 3 day flash sale, the first day was good, 2nd and 3rd day not good. The weird thing was it ended at midnight last night and since then it's been sale after sale, (and overnight sales are quite rare for me now). Makes no sense!

Yessss this is exactly how i feel - Like i cant find a pattern in any of it 😅 the one reeeeeeally good day I had last week, was the day I turned off promoted listings?!
Im still waiting for this buyers return to arrive, so Im hoping by some miracle when the return gets closed, everything will return to normal😅 maybe I should end my sale early and see what happens.

Yes, March is an odd month. I have "sell similared" lots of items without views and they have been getting great views, in fact not many have not got views, but sales are lower. I think old listings definitely need refreshing, anything over a month without views, anything over two months with views. But unless eBay start buying from us, we have to rely on buyers and they are a mysterious bunch and the only thing i know is they get paid next week which seems to help. No good for mothers day though.....

Today is getting stranger and stranger, I've now surpassed my turnover for yesterday with 9 hours left in the day. Yesterday I was running a 20% flash sale, today I haven't even unpaused my buy 3 get 15% discount offer.
If I turn off promoted listings will sales go through the roof? Lol.

Maybe 😆 it really seems all a mystery now!

I do have alot of old stock up, but I always so because I leave "out of season" stock up and sell similar if it needs it on the run up to the retrospective holiday. I definitely be refreshing some old listings though as it can't hurt surely 😅
The lack of mothers day sales is a mystery but hopefully your right and pay day will help us all ☺️

Just looked at your store out of curiosity and Im a huge warhammer nerd so I will be putting in an order when I sales pick up!

Haha that's brilliant! Me too, since running this business my own collection has grown quite substantially and that's with me being really strict with myself!
Hopefully your sales pick up soon! (Not just for the potential order). When I spoke to eBay CS about the missing return I mentioned the downturn he sales, he did say it's a funny time of the year, people are paying off their Christmas debts, the council tax bills are landing on doorsteps and it is still a week out from payday.
