Incorrect search results FAO Marco

In a weekly chat moons ago, I raised the issue of incorrect search results showing, sent examples, still happening, not been active on the platform recently so just highlighting its still happening

Another one for you

M&S item, MPN and term for search result '04288336' Search results in order of Lowest Price plus P&P

Lowest Price order

10.43 Private Seller

then

9.70 Business Seller

then

9.99 Business Seller

Could the issue be Private Seller/BPF related, if I were to hazard a guess the price is less before the new BPF fee. Perhaps other business sellers could highlight this issue to Marco if its effecting them as well

Additional, Private Seller selling restricted Baby Products, almost a year in now and still the Ebay policy is not being policed in full, currently 26000 listings breaking that Ebay policy on one search term alone, the bigger picture?

Incorrect search results FAO Marco

I have raised the issue of incorrect search results 3 times in Wednesday’s Community Chat.

A few weeks ago, I reported 15 listings for incorrect descriptions.  AI reviewed 14 of them and removed a couple, but decided that there was no problem with the remainder.

Customer Service reviewed one of them and decided there was no problem with it.  I appealed that one and a couple of days later, I had a message from CS saying it had been removed.

Another one I appealed was a picture of an Airfield which was described as "Seafaring, Seascape, Seaside, Sunsets, Boats, Sea”.  An AIRFIELD!!   Customer Service still didn't find any fault with that and denied the appeal.  I was so disgusted that I removed the few listings that I had left which were still custom-delivery.

I sometimes do follow-up searches using the same search terms, and sure enough, all of the following paintings are still being allowed to be described as “seascapes”:  the Grand Canyon, Forests, a Mountain, a Landscape and Calligraphy.  So at the moment, my items are still de-listed.

I can’t get my head round what sort of company thinks this is either effective for itself, or acceptable for its customers.  Buyers can’t find what they want, sellers can’t sell because their listings are submerged beneath dross, and ebay doesn’t make any money.  What on earth makes ebay thinks this is a good system.  It’s totally beyond my comprehension.
