saying you will be getting your funds faster and within 24 hours? If this is true happy days. Lets hope eBay have been listening

Have you started sending all of your items tracked? We have had our funds put on hold since May and they have never been able to give us a reason why. No message from them to say they will be sending our funds within 24 hours recently.

We have started to wind down our eBay sales and focus more on our website and shop. We've traded on eBay since 1999 but it has become so difficult now. Even just communicating with customers is complicated and now they are holding our money and can't tell us why.

Same here, funds on hold since July released after 24 hours after delivery however in the last week they changed it to 3 days after delivery making it worse....this is getting ridiculous now

Yes within 24 hours back to normal we didnt get an email just a pop up in the app although now for some strange reason we are getting zero sales!! I think ebay is killing our business off for some reason and hiding listings. We normally do £300 per day this time of year we are currently doing £20 per day!! Our business is dead on this platform and we are hanging on by a thread on the other selling platforms.

Ah - Thanks for that - Got the pop-up on the app yesterday, but since then, no email to confirm, and any sales since are still showing "funds release 3 days after delivery" so was a bit worried it might be a glitch

eBay has really gone to the dogs - They take virtually 30% in fees (If you count the fees, and promoted listings etc) and then hold your money so you literally cannot operate

Hopefully, the pop up means we should be getting back to normal soon

I thought it was a glicth for us but they did put us back on 24 hour payouts. Maybe give them a call? Not that will do any good no doubt.

As far as we have been told, it has to do with the service metrics for Item not received,  what % are you currently on and projected? 

I have been told the payment holds are related to this and as soon as this comes down from VERY HIGH to High the payment holds should also ease off.

I think you are correct - We were High on Returns and Very High in Items not received - Even though, oth metrics were actually incorrect

Customers misusing returns to get free postage and  INR's which were delivered but not integrating tracking

eBay insist they cannot change metrics despite every single case being won by us - Defects gone, but still impacts service metrics - Took us nearly 6 months, and now finally we are projected to drop to average in both

It is due to happen today, as its 20th - We got the pop up message in the app yesterday

Unfortunately eBay never change the metrics for you, and even if it's not your fault they will still hold it against you.

Our metrics went really high due to Royal Mail delivering very late and eBay showing stupid delivery times and even this 20th the Projected is still very high so we are hoping for it to come down by December 20th.

If the metrics for Projected are showing average which would mean they change tomorrow after today 20th review period, you should have your payments hold taken off in the next few days hopefully but do keep us updated.

Seller Ratings Updated 20/11/25 - Top Rated (No Change from before)
Service Metrics Updated 22/11/25 - Now Average on Both (High & Very High Previously)

As of today, Payments still showing Funds Held till 3 days after delivery

Seems there is no rhyme or reason as to how eBay operate

I think its most likely AI that flag various accounts randomly. Our sales are through the floor at the moment as in abnormally so and 60% down on previous years same period. I really believe that AI is being used to hide sellers listings when they are put on the naughty step

I think they should release soon,  Usually around the same date they put the hold on your account as seen with the sellers who have had their hold taken off fingers crossed.
