Thats right there only up in profit due to PPC (Pay Per Click) remember before ebay would only make money when a item is sold now there making money when some clicks on a listing irespective of it even making a sale.
We to are closing our shops on some of our ebay accounts and have now started to reduce bids on our campaigns because where now finding that we are not getting any sales organically there all via PPC and on listings which have sold over 80000 items you would naturally expect that they would rank organically and would acheive sales organically but no not with ebay anymore which is highly suspicious.
I suspect its to keep shareholders happy and profits up there pushing PPC heavily which will eventually kill sellers with margins dwindling sellers increasing prices and buyers not willing to pay the price increase, this will eventually kill them, thats my thoughts anyway.
We also sell on another market place "A" which is also expensive with PPC and sales are down but we have consistancy with sales and with ebay we no longer have this for some reason.
