I have noticed that on my Ebay orders page tracking for items sold from about 3rd October is not updating properly. Most of the items have now been delivered according to the tracking on the Royal Mail website, but the tracking on Ebay just says "Label created" and no more tracking updates. Is this happening to anyone else?

Yes! There are a few more of us with this exact problem, I completely understand how frustrating it is! I also have a different post about this if you want to follow it:
All I can say is that it's not just you, and hopefully this gets fixed as soon as possible.

I have exactly the same issue, it was working perfectly but is now broken on the ebay side, not a good ebay customer experience !!.

I just noticed this for my orders sent on Tuesday. Nothing has been updated but it is saying they are now running late. But one has been delivered and 2 are currently due to be delivered today on time. This better not go down as late deliveries.
So many IT issues plaging this site lately.

Same here. I don't use eBay labels, but tracking added onto ebay in the past day or two has not updated on eBay. Tracking fine on RM site. I agree with above post - I hope we aren't going to be penalised for this ☹️

Yes I have had the issue for 2 days now. It started on 7th Oct 2025. You can't get any contact via a phone call from eBay as they have "technical issues" which is always convenient forcing you to use the chat option - it takes forever and you get no answers. I have checked my connection from eBay to click & drop and that is fine. Royal Mails website works fine as it tells me what has been delivered, but on eBay it just doesn't update.
It's really poor on eBays part that they cannot be bothered to sort this out seeing as many people are having the same issues.

I spoke with someone called Kumal last night about this and was told it shouldn't affect the account, they "logged" a complaint about it, but it's unlikely it will be rectified. I'm having to check every order on RM website, and then kindly ask each customer to mark the package as delivered, which is incredibly inconvenient. I suspect this will be the future of eBay, all automated and bad experiences.

A buyer does not have the ability to mark orders as delivered.

Just an update, I spoke to Ebay concierge this morning and hardly anyone has reported the problem so I would recommend anyone with problems speaking to Ebay so that they can log the request otherwise this is not going to get sorted out.

Yet another glitch which doesn’t seem to be seriously addressed by eBay. I don’t use eBay RM labels but I upload tracking the day my parcels are scanned by the postie and maybe 1 in 5 gets updated like others as soon as you check tracking on RM website it shows delivered. I had a inr case decided in the buyers favour a while back and the website clearly showed as delivered unfortunately in these days of bots and the difficulty speaking to a human being these things are happening more and more and it’s not just eBay. Selling on online platforms is becoming more difficult and as I have said I’m retiring in 4 years and will downscale significantly until my retirement. I intended to keep doing this as a way to top up my pension but I’m fearful of how problematical this may be

This is unfortunate... I have tried yet again to get a call back, eBay still says "they are experiencing technical issues" - which I suspect translates as "we don't want to talk to you". Even the chat option isn't doing anything.
If you have the option to start your own website then I think that may be the best option. I will be doing this as soon as I can as eBay has become incredibly frustrating.

Update - I managed to speak with someone... an actual human!!
Ok, so eBay doesn't know at this time why there is an issue, there is a connection/update issue, but it has been reported to the same person earlier today, and it has been escalated.
If you use a tracked serice and Royal Mails website shows it has been delivered, then you have nothing to worry about, as eBay can look on that website for proof.
If you don't use tracking, I would suggest you do because you will be opening yourself up to potentially getting scammed - if there is no tracking, eBay will side with the scammer as there is no proof of the package ever being delivered. The proof of postage code for standard 1st/2nd class isn't a tracking code.
I always use Royal Mail 24 Tracked and it's been fast, and most packages arrive the very next day.
It's better to spend a little extra on something traceable like Royal Mail Tracked 24/48 instead of standard 1st or 2nd Class.
Keep your receipts as well (whether that is online label purchases and the proof of postage receipts).
Hopefully this gets sorted out soon.
But I will say it was an absolute joy speaking to someone instead of dealing with a bot!!
