I'm just browsing a category of mine.
See one of my listings in the results, haven't selected any filters.
Free delivery by Sunday ? How? My cut off was 11am. So SD would have to be selected, that wouldn't be free.
Then underneath get it by Monday. Well possibly, but if I sent tomorrow it's more likely to be Tuesday, by 2nd class.
Its on my competitors results too, so I guess we are all in the same boat!
Is this new promising free Sunday delivery?

We have just been talking to concierge regarding this, you are certainly not alone, all our free postage 2nd class orders today show dispatch date 1st, expected delivery date 1st to the 2nd, so delivery can be the same day of dispatch or at worse the Saturday, which would be impossible for the 1st and highly unlikely for Saturday the 2nd. They agreed it does make an sense and as a customer it is very confusing.
Paid for 1st class is the same delivery time, with next day expedited £11.99 courier being the 4th.
Its all very stressful, confusing and time consuming, i hope it can be resolved.

Sadly it wont be fixed, eBay think its working as planned at the open event I stood with the shipping manager and due to attending the event I had my dispatch as 3 days it still stated EDD for the Monday when I didnt need to ship till the Tuesday, all the figures were shown and they agreed it was wrong, thats been over a month and the issue still is here. I have just accepted that its another thing eBay dont care about, they will give us a copy and paste reply saying they take into consideration our dispatch time and the times the couriers state (which they dont) and wash their hands of the issue.

Same here - just had an awkward exchange with eBay over an item purchased at 10.30pm last Friday and our dispatch on working days only. Basically, the item got posted on Monday, and got delivered on Wednesday as scheduled. Ebay not happy with that and claiming defects, again... This lot is absolutely clueless, and then useless when educated. Waste of time.

A few months ago I was amazed to spot a Royal Mail van in my village and a postie delivering something ON A SUNDAY!
So I did some googling and discovered:
"Royal Mail offers Sunday delivery services primarily to business customers, particularly those in e-commerce:
Large Retailers: Major online retailers who have specific agreements with Royal Mail may offer Sunday delivery options to their customers.
E-commerce Businesses: Companies using Royal Mail's Tracked 24 service can potentially offer Sunday deliveries to their customers in certain areas.
Some premium Royal Mail services offer Sunday delivery options:
Royal Mail Tracked 24: This service provides Sunday delivery in most major cities and towns, but it must be specifically arranged and purchased by the sender.
Special Delivery Guaranteed: Sunday delivery is available for this service, but it needs to be specially arranged and comes with additional charges."
For more I get told to look up Royal Mail. Presumably eBay allows for (encourages?) sellers to be large businesses and/or to make the wherewithal to delivery by Sunday. Wouldn't that be a minority of sellers on eBay? Whereas I at least would assume that eBay systems should default to deal with the majority of sellers/buyers, for whom Royal Mail is inactive on Sundays.

I have received Tracked 24 on a Sunday, not expected, also had a message from a surprised buyer when they received their Tracked 48 delivery on a Sunday morning, and I think it was on the run up to Christmas last year.
I'm pleased this is possible, but obviously not guaranteed.

Hi bojangled, thanks for your post.
Happy to look into this one for you. Could you please confirm the item number, so we can review that for you? I could try finding the item, but I'd still need to you to confirm the item number.
Thank you,
Marco

Much appreciated, 335573392752.
But this is the same search screenshot now, no sign of a Sunday so has it been sorted?

Thanks for the quick reply, bojangled!
Yes, I was looking into this for a while, and it looks like you're getting what's expected. I wonder if it changed in the time gap between you creating this thread and me replying to it. If refer this to the shipping team, they might get back with the same. So, could you please keep an aye out, and if you see it again, please let me know and I'll try to look into it as soon as possible?
Thank you,
Marco

I have noticed that some T24 and T48 have been delivered on a Sunday.
However, I sent an SD on a Friday and the buyer paid the premium for Saturday delivery, in total £13+ for an A5 package weighing less that 100g. RM flagged it as unable to deliver because there was no response at the property. The buyer was not only at home that day - waiting for her urgent package so she could finish an order - she can see the door from her studio and saw no sign of the postman. Because there was supposedly an attempt to deliver, I couldn't claim the postage.
Since then, I've since been very wary of advising any buyer to use this service.
