Full disclosure; I don't have any experience using csv, but I need to start using it, and especially for variation listings. I've got my head around how a standard non-variation listing would work, but I haven't a clue what text goes in to the cells to achieve creating variation listings on the csv.
I have items (not yet listed) that come in different colours, sizes and parts, so if I was using the listing tool's variation feature I might be setting up numerous different variation options.
Any guidance or help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Decided to give up on this. It doesn't seem like a viable time saver. The standard listing tool will have to do.

Try doing a download of all active listings and you'll see how the child parent relationship works and relevant fields for your product categories

Hi. Thanks. I just tried that. The report it produced has a column called "Variation details", which gives some detail on how to word things. There's no Relationship or RelationshipDetails fields, though. I guess eBays system detects either?
The template comes with about 50 columns to fill in, while the report you said to run, showing my current listings only has a few, and none of them are item specifics. Very confusing stuff.
