Anyone tried the new "Turn your photos into listings - Upload images of your items?"

As above.

I notice they've added this function.

I tried a few and it actually worked well, not perfect but will save a lot of time listing for sure. Of about 50 pictures it picked up 40 artists + all categories + formats correctly + a couple of other specifics. Obviously you'll have to finish them up and probably tidy some bits + it likely wont work well for all items but atleast for a random folder of 7" records it worked well.

Now this is something we actually can use and there is always lots of people complaining about filling out specifics.

I for one will make use of this and see it as a genuine improvement.

Had a little go of it earlier and it seemed to ask me to fill in a lot of information still so I just went back to the usual way of listing.

I will give it another go though on your recommendation

Yeah I can see it being fussy for some items but even if it manages only 10% correct its worth doing and you can edit item specifics directly from the main screen. I dont know if you can do that from the normal bulk screen even now so its worth doing this way just for that functionality.

It has done more specifics also but I think these are the compulsory ones. Not even sure I'm going to list these, just messing around. The fact they are catalogued items probably helps but im very surprised it found the titles for singles, albums I'd be less surprised, cds will be a walk in the park because they already are.

Yeah so I predominantly sell clothing so it may not be as beneficial to my category, but I will try it anyway. If it helps make some people's lives on eBay easier though then great. Saying that I do have around 150 books to list so I am going to assume it will save a hell of a lot of time with that.

Used it last night on one of my items. Not bad but I tweaked it

It makes no difference to me for the most part. As I just go to sold items, and use list similar to auto fill in most of the details. I also always use the barcode on the item if it has one. Saves so much time typing.

It failed and didn't do anything for me selling collectable trading cards (no title, category, nothing) but might work for other items/categories or improve at a later date
