Access your premium service badge now

Hi there,

I received an email from eBay on 29th May saying 'Access your premium service badge now'.  I read through the requirements and made a few tweaks to my business policies in order to qualify.  I am offering free UK postage in 3 days, express delivery options, tracked services,  30 days returns, seller pays for returns.  However, I still can't see the badge on my listings.  I have just spent 45 mins on the phone to an eBay customer agent today who clearly had no idea how to help.  I am a top rated seller.  On my seller dashboard it says none of my listings qualify but she couldn't help identify why this is.   Does anyone know why this might be the case? Many thanks in advance.

Re: Access your premium service badge now

If you have Top Rated status, which you said you had in your first post, then the transactions or total sales have already been surpassed.  And looking at your page, you have over 7k sales already!
They may be before you became a business, but will count anyway.
You cannot have that status, without doing so.

So to get the premium badge, the only requirements remaining are the delivery time etc.

Re: Access your premium service badge now

Do you have dispatch set for the same day?  You can have a very early cut-off time, but without that, it doesn't usually display.

It can also take a little while for the badge to appear.

One question though, why do you have both RM 48 and Tracked 48 with a charge?

I would have thought one or the other depending on value surely?

Re: Access your premium service badge now

Hi.

There are a few other requirements that you can check in your ebay account like.

Cases closed without seller resolution: No more than 2 (or 0.3% of transactions)
Transaction defect rate: No more than 0.5%, associated with no more than 3 different buyers
Late delivery rate: No more than 5 (or 3% of transactions)
You have at least 100 transactions and £1,000 (€1,500) in sales during the last 12 months with UK and Irish buyers.

Re: Access your premium service badge now

But you wouldn't have Top Rated if you failed any of those requirements and that's already been established.

The TRS doesn't kick in until the next evaluation period.  Have you had an evaluation since you 'tweaked'?

Re: Access your premium service badge now

Thank you so much for the response.  I have changed it to same working day, thank you.  I have also changed the free postage to Royal Mail 2nd class and left the paid for postage as the tracked options.  To qualify it also says you need to offer tracked services for orders over £20 but I can't see anything that I can physically change to say that.  Is that just a case of adding the tracking to the orders of over £20.  I add tracking to all orders anyway.  Fingers crossed the badge might appear eventually.

Re: Access your premium service badge now

If you have a range of items, some below, some above £20, then I would recommend that you use two different postage policies for them.

Below, is obviously fine with an untracked service, but if you want to qualify for the £20+ items, then it has to be a tracked service.

So even if you do send via tracked, but it's only untracked on the policy, it won't qualify for lower priced items.

Re: Access your premium service badge now

Hi there,

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply.  Closed without seller resoltion is zero, late delivery rate is 1.06% and the transaction defect rate is 3.  Is it 100 transactions OR £1000 in sales?  I have had over £1,000 in sales but  I have only had 84 orders as I've been recovering from breast cancer plus my eBay sales are very poor in general.  I am ploughing through 450 listings on my woocommerce website updating the first 4 buzz words in the titles in hope of getting more visibility.  Any other observations/advice would be most welcome :-).

Re: Access your premium service badge now

Hi there,  thanks so much for the reply.  My next evaluation is 20th June.  I am assuming the last one was 20 May in which case my tweaks were made after the last evaluation.  I'll check again on 20th June thank you.

Re: Access your premium service badge now

I think that maybe the problem. To display a Premium Service logo on your listings you need to be a top rated seller so if you only have 84 UK and Ireland sales in the last 12 months you will not be eligible.

You can check your seller level on your seller dashboard.

Re: Access your premium service badge now

Once you are eligible any tweaks you make to a listing like postage, dispatch time will work pretty much straight away. You do not need to wait to the next evaluation.

Re: Access your premium service badge now

Looks like you have the majority.  But I can still see some without it, so check your policies, as you may have more than one being used.  Ebay has a habit of creating duplicates without you realising.

Re: Access your premium service badge now

That's useful to know. I deleted all my old polices so I only have 3 main policies now.  I can see between 2 of the polcies there are 6 listings that failed but it doesn't show which listings.  Just gives an odd item number like this under the header 'Item Number'.

3.56056E+11

If I click into the activity log it says they failed due to either:-

The dispatch time cannot be changed if an auction-style listing has a bid or ends within 12 hours
or a fixed price listing has a pending Best Offer.

A mixture of Self Hosted and EPS pictures are not allowed.

I don't have auction listings and I haven't sent any recent offers so that's very odd. Thankfully it seems to only be be 6 so I'll just have to live with them I think.  Thanks so much for your help. Joy

Re: Access your premium service badge now

It is usually is down to offers.  Go look at the individual listings, as you possibly have auto offers on them.

You can check all listings for them at this page:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sh/mktv2/offers

Just filter for auto

And if they are active, you can just turn them off from there as well.

Re: Access your premium service badge now

Wow I had no idea the offers were automated.  I have turned them all off and it has cleared 4 errors.  Only 2 left :-).  I'm very grateful for the help.  Have a great week.  Joy

Re: Access your premium service badge now

Your more than welcome.  🙂

Ebay has a habit of turning them on and you don't notice when you send offers.

So it's something that you need to keep an eye on, though that may change with the new offers page etc.

We shall see.
