the royal mail has revealed that it shreds almost 300,000 items of post EVERY WEEK,because it fails to deliver them.

figures have showed 14.7 million items were destroyed last year as staff could not find who they belonged to.

If you have a reply address on envelopes there can be no need to do this unless the address has been obliterated by water, etc.

Shows the need to properly address your letters or have your address on the reverse.I would assume most of the letters destroyed didn't have either.
