Wed 15May13 - 1 Reply

Forget the recommended five a day, I am more than happy receiving one a day this week so far. 🙂

Graham Turner - 8 days

Nice quick reply from Graham who played Amos the mortician in Doctor Who with a deliciously wicked grin which I captured in the picture I sent along with my index card.

Your collection has been building really well this year, Nigel and this is another great addition.

I'd be happy with one reply a week. It's been very slow for me this year.

Nice reply.

Is the picture printed on photo paper or a card?

I'm still trying to find the right way to go with my requests trying to balance the cost of what I send with the quality, as there is an element of risk that items won't come back.

#6 - Steve. I have been printing these and sending them for a while now. I use 260gm photo paper. Has to be a decent quality for autographs.

ttm will never be the perfect way to collect autographs, but with a modicum of research and lots of patience can be very rewarding. Some replies can be as quick as 2 to 3 days but others can take years. I have been lucky, and my slowest replies have only been around the 4 year mark, but I know of some who have had replies take even longer, the longest being 12 years. The majority will get back to you within a week and 6 months. Always make sure you send your own items for signing and include a postage paid reply envelope. Basic courtesies that so many in this hobby do not understand, but go a long way.

Doctor Who is an awesome area to collect in and most people who appear in the show seem to enjoy the experience and like to talk about it.

#9 Thanks for that nigel. I tend to like a clean space for the actual signature - maybe a personality thing! - so designed cards work well which I can then mount alongside an actual photograph.
