If any of you are US baseball fanatics, you might remember what we Americans called the Negro League, which was a semi-professional league for black players back in the '20's-'50's. Back in my school days (1980-83), former Negro League standout Don Newcombe came to my school to discuss then-hot racial issues. On my personal stationary, he signed "Best Wishes, Don Newcombe." I stumbled across that autograph between moves and promptly put it aside for archiving, and just remembered it today. Thought I should add that as a successful VV find. A good weekend to all!.

You must be pretty pleased to find that again, Pat. Although I'm not an expert, I believe the Negro League players are quite collectable.

Nice find to come across again after several years. Baseball autograph collecting is huge.I imagine the signature you are referencing is very rare indeed, so is a fantastic autograph to have in your collection.
You don't happen to know of anyone who has an example of Robert "Scoop" Jackson's signaure I could use for comparision? He is a journalist famed for his baseball reporting and works for ESPN. I have tried emailing him to no avail.
