A very popular author who has sold millions of books in over 40 countries.
Had a mini mooch in The Works and Waterstones bargain bins today. Not much of interest even for sending out. Some areas with The Works might strike lucky. Our one already has the Jermaine Jackson book for £4.99 and the big Peter Kay book for £6.99 - none signed of course, but some areas will probably get some. The only signed book I picked up today was due to it being 49p in The Works, no other reason. For 49p I will add it to my collection. 🙂
A couple of cheapies from eBay. The Simon Pegg was actually last week, but I forgot about it. Not bad for £3.70. Most pleased with the other book, which was a charity auction for £1.99 - Attila The Stockbroker. A good memory from nights out seeing him solo, as support at many gigs, or with the likes of Otway.
Picked up the following from Waterstones at 75% off in their January clearance. I remember when the author signed locally in 2008, and even chattted to him while he was signing, but did not buy the book then as I did not have any spare cash. It's a limited edition HB 1st of the book.
At the weekend, I noticed my local Works was selling the recent Denis Law and Paul Gascoigne books for £4.99 already. Could not find any signed ones in my store, but some of you may be lucky.

Survivors HB 1/1 by The Nolans from Coles Books
Have always maintained a soft spot for The Nolans as they were a favourite of my late mother, and always made her happy. This is signed by the four on the cover - Bernie, Linda, Maureen, and Coleen. Have had ttm freplies from five of them individually, but have been meaning to pick this up for a while. I did order one via Amazon last year, but they failed me, so good to see Coles had some left.
To The Baltic With Bob HB 1/1 2003 by Griff Rhys Jones via eBay for 99p plus postage.
I have seen this book quite a bit in charity shops, and always thought it looked a good read. Will find out now.
The Real Mackay HB 1/1 2004 by Dave Mackay via eBay for £7.32 with free postage.
A great player, and a good signed book to add to my growing collection of footy signed books.
