Time to resurrect this thread for anything related to autographed books. I'll kick off with a purchase today -
Born Wild HB 1st by Tony Fitzjohn, OBE
Tony's new book has recently been released and we picked up a signed HB 1st at half price in a British Bookshops & Stationers promotion. Very pleased as Kelly and I were only saying the other day it looked a book we would both enjoy.

Great deal at Tesco Alex. My copy was from Asda. I really like Rob. I have been re-watching Gavin & Stacey recently - his comic timing is so spot on.

I picked this up on eBay during the week. Bit of an impulse buy - not someone I am familiar with regarding their signature styles over the years, so if you have any concerns about this, please contact me privately as you cannot say on here. Definitely my favourite boxer, so would be over the moon if this is good. Have tried ttm several times over the years, but never managed any kind of reply. The sig is dated the year of the book's release - 93. Did anyone else get this book signed back then?

Really nice pick up, Nigel. I hope it's ok.

Was out for my work Xmas lunch today. Afterwards I visited a Warehouse Books bargain shop, and had a cracking find.
My Life In Pictures HB 1/1 2010 by Jerry Hall for £6.99
This is an amazing book. It is a massive coffee table book that retailed for £25. Very weighty. Was amazed to find it signed. Chuffed to bits with this.

£6.99 for that Jerry Hall book would be good in itself, but to find it signed as well... fantstic find, Nigel.

Cracking find again Nigel..bargain at £6.99.
How much has your signed book collection grown this year? any idea?

What a find Nigel well done .

#549 Alex - Not a clue how much or many, but could comfortably say a lot as I ran out of room for everything a long time ago.
ttm was not too bad as I probably had more multisigned books going around than individual. Definitely picked up lots of signed books in charity shops and shops sellling remaindered stock.
Have been trying to trim the collection a bit to make some space, but that was hard work and only benefitting our forum hosts, so I have stopped for now.
Have found great books for reading in the process. The signed Dennis Lehane book I found a few weeks ago (The Given Day) is awesome, highly recommended. Likewise, I discovered Linwood Barclay's books through a charity shop find.

I picked up another signed book in Waterstones yesterday for £6 off rrp. Really pleased with this. As I get older, I have slowly started to appreciate a few artists doing some interesting work. One of these is Rob Ryan, based in London, who specialises in paper cutting and screen printing. His work is getting more and more sought after, so I was chuffed to find a signed copy of his new book. Well worth keeping an eye out for this.

That's a really nice find Nigel I've just done a Google image search on him and he has done some interesting things I might look out for his book .

Some real bargains there, Brian.

Could have sworn I posted the other day about your purchases Brian. You have been busy and picked up some interesting books.
Not my cup of tea, but if anyone is interested, Hatchards have signed bookplated 1st editions of the Olivia Harrison book about George for rrp of £26.99.
Slightly unusual pickup from Waterstones Piccadilly today. Picked up a signed/dedicated David Haye book. All their other copies were unsigned. They said this was one that had been pre-ordered from the signing they hosted, but the person who ordered did not have funds available to pay for it, so it went on the shelf. Quite happy with the dedication as it looks like a good full sig from David unlike a lot out there right now. Managed to haggle £3 off the price for the dedication, and used some Waterstones card points, so paid £12.22 for it.

Nice purchase with the David Haye book and well done for getting some more money off.

Some cracking signed books there rian..Like the Eubank one...saw that Celtic book te other week...it didn't sell for 99p first time round..no bids.
And what a good buy that David Haye signed book is Nigel...worth every penny.
