Best game of footy I've seen all season here at Stanley, a draw would have been a fair result I think. But we can't win them all as we went down 3-2.
Anyway I managed 18 of the 19 Exeter players who travelled up for the game on Friday night which included Clinton Morrison. Manager Paul Tisdale also signed the match day programme as did Director of football Ex Spurs legend Steve Perryman MBE. Steve very kindly and was happy to add his name to the England shirt I have, Playing just the once and coming on as a sub against Iceland back in 1982. Very nice guy to talk to. The latest Stanley on loan players Keeper Jack Rose and Midfielder Matty Crooks also signed pic's in the programme as did last week's 2 goal hero Piero Mingoia. Always one for checking out the directors seating area before the match I spotted one Mr Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink,Now Burton Manager who we play in December, sat amongst the guests so I signalled him out for a graph, Got my Chelsea blue sharpie out and kindly asked Jimmy if he'd sign a card for me his reply was " Me? Why me? Who do you think I am ?" to which I replyed " Your Mr Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Ex Pro footballer with Leeds, Athletico Madrid, Chelsea and Netherlands International player to name but a few now manager of Burton albion" No not me sorry............................................Just kidding give it here.....Phew! as you can see job done.
