I have in my collection a lot of Sir Bobby Charlton signatures that i have got ip and also ttm, i have even visited his home in person and have photo's to prove the fact. Below i have listed several of Sir Bobby's signatures, i know for a fact that there is either a sec or a forgery within them. Can you or any one of the ttmforum members tell me which it/ or they are????? Here are the signatures.......

What i am trying to get across is that, my signature changes and so does every one else's. Try it at home..... Signe you own signature ten times and see if they are all "IDENTICLE" They wont be i assure you:)

If one of those is a "sec" or a "forgery" mate then I'd say it's the "Good luck" Bobby Charlton one.
Then again he does write his graph on a slight slant...the one Matt pointed out is a more straight line written graph.

Great post Paul. Thanks for going to the trouble.
I have no idea which is real but I have to say I think the second signature is a fabulous signing so knowing my luck it's this one.
Signatures are not a perfect science by the very nature of circumstances when signing.
While I totally respect Alex and Millys opinions on my Alan Ball photo in another post I'm happy to believe it's genuine as I believe the rest are. I also had a Pele ttm last year that I am sure is real as there was almost certainly a sec sent back on my original photo.
All very interesting though mate.

Post #1 World Cup photo is the dodgy 1
And England never truly won that World Cup, that ball never did cross the line

They are not great scans, and to do this properly takes time (and decent scans!), but the Good luck one looks like a cheap fake.
No two signatures are ever exactly the same, even from an autopen, but that is not what you are looking for.
When making a comparison there can be more than 16 things which you will be comparing, so its not simply case of 'well it looks the same to me!'
To give you some idea, you need at th very least to study the size, slant, and spacing of each letter, and make comprisons with normally 10 or 12 known authentic examples from the same time period.
When a forger tries to recreate another persons signature, it will be impossible for him to recreate it exactly and will always introduce into it some of his own style of writing.
Always look for the little things that a forger would miss, the way an i is dotted or a t is crossed, which direction a letter is formed or started etc.
Its not as easy as some think, but if you know how to do it, and study he signatures correctly, then it will work for any signature.

I would say that it is the first photo in post two, the Good luck cause the B is nothing like the others and the first part of his surname is slightly bigger than the rest of the surnames

Garry,
For a close up of the signatures all you need to do is click the little arrow to the left of the "attachment" at the top of the post:) Study the "Good Luck" in the one you say is fake and the one i have just posted. Think you will find they are identicle. The one in my book is a rushed Sir Bobby:)as is the one in the doig print.
