Replies back from ex players today.
William John "Bill" Bentley played as a left-back. He began with Stoke City in 1964, he moved on to Blackpool in 1968. He spent the next nine years with Blackpool, helping them to lift the Anglo-Italian Cup in 1971. He spent 1977 to 1980 at Port Vale, also briefly serving the club as caretaker-manager in 1979. He ended his career at non-league Stafford Rangers in 1981.
Duncan Forbes joined Colchester United in September 1961 from Scottish non-league side Musselburgh Athletic and quickly established himself as a regular playing in two promotion winning teams and two relegation teams over the next 7 years.In 1968 after 270 games for Colchester he moved to Norwich City for £10,000.He was captain of the Norwich team that won promotion to the first division for the first time in 1972.In 1976 he joined Torquay United on loan but returned to Carrow Road and won his place back, finishing his Norwich career with 295 league appearances, in which he scored 10 times. On leaving Norwich he played for Great Yarmouth Town, before joining Diss Town as player-coach.He later rejoined Norwich on the Commercial staff and later became chief scout,being associated with Norwich for 33 years in total.

Another couple of fantastic replies. I love seeing these vintage player successes for you. They are either fun trips down memory lane, or an informative lesson for me as I learn about players I have not come across.
