The standard of the women's game seems to have improved markedly since I last watched it.

 

The current England level and the excitement generated in the games reminds me very much of games I watched when Brighton were in Division 1.  This is not intended to denigrate the women's game because in many ways the games in the lower divisions of the men's game are more entertaining and less predictable than those in the higher leagues.

 

I'm really enjoying this World Cup.

Indeed. What has impressed me is the lack of theatrics, diving and play-acting - It's good to watch football as it's meant to be played

 

It's nice to see the focus on the pitch too, rather than headlines be dominated by off-the-field antics, greed, and corruption.
