I HAVE A 19C KNIFE, FORK & SPOON SET IN IVORY? The spoon has a hallmark which refers to William Hutton & Sons, possibly 1827. The knife is like a pen knife and has Joseph Rogers & Sons on it. The straight fork fits snugly inside the unit without hallmark.
I have seen a complete set of WH &sons on the net. I am wondering if my set has someMILITARY usage rather domestic. The three pieces are made to detach as separate items but then combine to a perfectly fitting unit. Did WH & Sons buy in the pen knives to make this for some military yes? A puzzle? Any help would be appreciated.
