Hospital TV charges

Patients charge £10 / day by NHS to watch TV, but prisoners only charged £1 / week

Old news perhaps but patients still being ripped off to relieve boredom. Whoopee, if you know you will be in for 3 days you get a discount from £30 to £22. Such generosity!

How can they justify such a huge cost?

Hospital TV charges

Phew, That's steep? I didn't pay anything. TV was on all day even when I had a room to myself.

Hospital TV charges

We had ward tv that was on and free - also free WiFi so iPad was used if I didn’t like what was on.

Didnt see anyone with their own rented TV - maybe that’s why charges are high because demand is low.

It’s because the TVs are supplied by a private company, a kind of modern day radio rentals! You are better off taking in an iPad or kindle and streaming what you want to watch for free. Or perhaps it’s time to listen to hospital radio 🤭
