The match between Germany and Holland has been abandoned after the stadium was evacuated following the discovery of a 'suspicious package'.
A concert in the same city, (Hanover), has also been cancelled.
Very difficult for the authorities - safety first and propaganda victory for the terrorist - the alternative being risk taking and the possibility of a disaster.

I have also seen a report of the main rail station in Hanover being closed off due to a suspect object being found near the tracks

Now being reported that an ambulance 'packed full of explosives' has been discovered outside the football stadium 😞

Terrorism works. Do something then everyone gets paranoid until people "forget" when it's time for the terrorists to issue a "reminder".....
The threat of a perceived attack is even more expensive for a country than an actual attack.
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

Considering Dave is hellbent on dragging our taxes into another Blair-era conflict in the east we can no doubt expect many events to be cancelled in blighty too. The irony has to be the very same people bemoaning Blair are the exact same now enforcing a new conflict upon us. Hypocrisy; still the greatest luxury.
