Listing in the wrong catergory

Hello all members.

I am selling on eBay for almost 2 years.

I am not that much experienced but keep improving every day.

I am sending  this question as i know that on the community we have expert sellers and sellers which are selling on ebay for many years.

I am looking to find out how I will gonna be affected as a business when I am listing items in the wrong categories.

I had listed in bulk in past and many items from my shop has gone under wrong categories.

Can you give an example of a listing that's been placed in the wrong category, and the category that it should be placed in?

You should be able to bulk edit to change the category.

I had revised many of them from my shop.

I am looking to find out if that has influenced in a bad way my sales.

Making revisions doesn't affect sales.

Sorry, I don't understand?

If you listed in the wrong category and had buyers searching via category then yes, that would slow down your sales. They wouldn't see your listings in a search.

@*vyolla* , so as long as buyer isn't searching by category ,doesn't matter the category where item is listed?

Most buyers search by keywords (title), and if they select to search in all categories then your listings will appear.

However, if they select a category and your listings are in the wrong category then they won't.
