Buyers parcel returned as undelivered, so I have to refund postage?

Hello

I posted an item interntional

tracked to a buyer in Italy using the eBay postage system. The parcel has been returned as "unable to deliver". The buyer says the address must have been wrong (even though it's the one they supplied to eBay). They want a full refund but does that means I have to cover the cost of airmail postage?

Thanks for your help.

If you used the eBay global shipping programme you are only responsible for refunding the domestic postage costs, in other words the cost of the postage to the UK based shipping company Pitney Bowes.

EBay is responsible for refunding the buyer whatever they charged them for the international leg of the postal journey themselves.

I didnt use goobal shipping, I used Royal Mail but bought postage through eBay with the address the buyer has registered with eBay.

Seems crazy that I have to refund £13 postage.

You will have to give a full refund including the postage.

If  you don't they could open a not received case and get a full refund (if they are still with in the 30 days MBG).

They could also go to their payment provider and initiate a chargeback for the rest.

I'd block the buyer as well if you haven't already.
