refunded postage

Im a little confused and out of pocket.

I have never done refunds for postage so maybe i did something wrong and you can guide me so i dont make the same mistake twice.

Im a private seller btw. My buyer bought 3 items from me and also paid all the postage on each one ( i did put a note in the listing asking for buyers to contact me before they pay for combined postage but i guess she didnt see it) she paid £5.48 too much so i went to the issue a refund on one of the listings. Put reason for refund as postage typed in the amount and left a note for the buyer and checked the box below(i cant recall what it said if im honest on the check box) Ebay has refunder her £10.47! not the £5.48 that i put in. 

What happened, did i miss some thing? thanks in advanced
