Hi - I recently had a pair of trousers lost by Royal Mail - sale value £15.00 + £2.40 (2nd class large letter)
I claimed for that sum and received a book of 8 x 1st class stamps - value £10 in return.
I have never had a problem with Royal Mail refunds before and always received a cheque
I have checked with the Post Office staff as I thought there may be a refund limit on Large Letter post as compared with Small parcel but they confirmed that it is still £20.
I am writing to Royal Mail for an explanation but wondered if anyone else has received a shortfall from the sale value.
