my daughter and her boyfriend spent last weekend in london and spent ages looking at the poppies .she said it was an awesome sight so thought i would share the up to date pics with you

Beautiful, really beautiful.  I wonder who first had the idea to do this.  It was certainly a very good idea.

One of those poppies is mine.  I'm looking forward to it's arrival!

Just go to the tower of London website and follow instructions, I don't know if they have any left, We bought ours when they first started putting them out.

It is really looking amazing.

That's wonderful mercs.  Quite a few of us have bought one,  when mine comes I am going to get something nice to put it in and put it near OH grandads photo as he was at the Somme.

Isn't it an amazing sight, honestly, it's beautiful - I often drive past and can see them from the

coach.  I'm going to go and see them up close though, I'm only half an hour away by train and

it would be rude not to I think.

A friend of mine was one of the volunteers who planted them all - something I'd love to have

done but didn't know you could until too late.

I've also bought one but may buy another if there are enough, so my one doesn't get lonely.

They are still being planted I believe right up to remembrance day. A friend & her brownie troop went up to do a planting session.:)

Not me sorry. We have bought ours in remembrance of my husbands grandfather.

I believe they started to sell them as soon as they started making them, Patrick.

I saw them in person last week, went up especially.  I'm so glad I did, they are truly a stunning and awesome

sight, and very humbling.  I enquired to volunteer to unplant them but they had 20,000 applicants which was

presumably enough!  Absolutely wonderful though.  It as so busy at the  weekend that they closed the

closest underground station and the traffic jams have been terrible there this week, but it's so good that so

many people want to see them.

Good news this morning, the government have said they will not be taking VAT from the sale of the poppies so the charities will get even more money.  Well done the government.
