And for all ebay's annoying habits ( ! ) - - they have banned profiteers selling the poppies 🙂
A eBay spokesman - "We are not permitting resale of the limited edition Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red ceramic poppies on eBay. Any listings attempting to sell these items will be cancelled before any sale takes place. Our marketplace is not an appropriate venue for the limited edition ceramic poppies in view of the significance of each individual poppy as a memorial to an individual British military fatality"

I've had mine for over a week...
It came beautifully packaged with a certificate, & has a lovely 'weathered' look.
I feel privileged beyond words

Beautiful and with so much meaning. I was not aware you could purchase them otherwise I would have for my OH whose great uncle was KIA in WW1 and is buried in Normandy. He already has a copy of his last will and testament downloaded from the official WW1 website, it would have been the perfect addition. I'm sad to have missed out.

Once they have all been delivered there might perhaps be some more for sale as a quantity were kept back to replace any that are broken in transit.
I thought that the packaging was excellent, but there have been quite a few complaints on our local radio about breakages, and folks saying that the packaging was inadequate.

A great modern day example, of the power that can be generated by the right piece of Art; that truly emphasises the saying "A picture paints a thousand words".

I still think that it is a brilliant idea. They are lovely.
