Probably obvious, but I put anything I think I want to buy in my basket
This gives me time to think about it before paying.
I have lost count of the number of items I have removed from basket afterwards
yes, I've done that a few times, but I usually only go into town twice a year, I write a list fly in, grab the stuff and leg it out again, so I don't get chance to "shop"
