James Martin because I think he's got a lovely personality. I also like the look of the desserts he makes. But then he is a pastry chef.

I hope you don't mind me butting in!
I would be either Jason Atherton or Ben Tish who are often on saturday Morning Kitchen as they come from my home town and I'm very loyal :).

I'd LIKE to be Nigel Slater, making up recipes according to what's in season and using up all his leftovers. Or the Hairy Bikers - love them, would really enjoy a spit roast done their way - freewheeling and out on the road, meeting life as it comes and knocking up tasty British classics. But if I'm anyone, I'm Keith Floyd, spilling booze from the glass as I lurch round the kitchen

Another chef I like is Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. He grows a lot of the veg he uses.

Oooh yes, love Hugh. He produces most of what he eats - catches eels in the river and smokes them in his chimney! If more people had his attitude maybe we could close a few hundred supermarkets. Of course he's got time and money....

i agree with Hugh.would love to be fully self sufficient.
