Must admit that I like him too. I think he's brilliant as Judge John Deed.

I've been watching re-runs of The Professionals. Quite hard hitting for its time. I remember the very first episode - it was on the same time as Blondie singing Denis on Top of the Pops, if my memory isn't playing tricks. My brother-in-law was a policeman and met Lewis Collins once; he said he was short, stroppy and had bad dandruff.

I agree with you Mouse.
I think that he is more attractive now than when he was younger.
Or am I just getting old.
As well as Judge John Deed, he is good in Inspector George Gently

Martin Shaw is immensely popular here in the USA...especially with the older ladies..
We watched his series 'Judge Deeds' a couple of years ago, and currently he's on here in the Boston area as George Gently, and the series is getting big raves at the moment....lots of expats in the New England area, especially here in Massachusetts.
Our local PBS channel is currently showing the 'Great British Baking Show' and it seems to be a big hit.

I like Martin Shaw in Inspector George Gently as well. Bake off is another of my favourites but Martin Shaw isn't in that on is he?
