Pork meat minced with onion and barley or oats, served in gravy. bit like a meatball.    Yes I know it means something else in the states too pobably the same.  It is usually sold in the butchers, but this is  ready made from a supermarket.

Nearly the same as you Maggie.  We had cod, jacket potatoes and peas.  Yes, I DID say jackets. I sudenly had a brainstorm.  He only had half of one (reduced apetite) but ate the jacket.....I bottled out at the last minute and left it!  I made batter using part tonic water as I had no sparkling water or beer.  It was lovely and very crispy but I also put baking powder in so it might have been that.

Yes I am back home, with a cocktail of I.V. meds - consultant insisted on me coming home by ambulance, but just glad to be in my own bed.
