Trying to clear down the freezer a bit... so found some venison yesterday and marinaded it in port and guinness overnight, added onions garlic and pickled walnuts and it's on a long slow cook. I usually make potato and celeriac mash and red cabbage to go with it but... I've done my back in from lifting gardening stuff so it's probably just sweet potato mash and some spinach... bit wintery but it's wet and damp today.

Yes, it's a tried and tested recipe, always works, was looking for something different but hey ho easier to do this recipe.
