Its most likely because the item is out of stock...

Seller changes price to a silly one so no one will bid but the item keeps its place in the listings ......

Found one like that. from one of our competitors.  Should have been about 15.00. not 10x that.  GTC last amended in mid 2012, he must have wondered why he never sold anymore.
