DVD+/-RW

Can anyone tell me the difference between + or - on a DVD, I have used DVD-RW with my camcorder but with 8cm discs going out of fashion DVD+RW are best priced?

DVD+/-RW

DVD-R don’t require to be formatted before being recorded through a compatible video recorder while DVD+R discs must be formatted before being recorded by a compatible DVD video recorder.

The DVD-R disc format is different from the DVD-R Format.

DVD+R has more robust error management system than DVD-R that allows for more accurate burning to media

Thanks "knight-rider" didn't know that, I have been formating the -RW disks I have used in my camcorder.

Should be OK to use the +RW hope my camera knows the differfence and is programed to apply the correct format.

Thanks again edwste-1339
