147% CPU just from one eBay tab!

My mac laptop was having a very hot meltdown, so I checked the CPU and found ebay was the culprit. I closed the eBay tab in safari and voila - cpu went back down to 5%.

Does anyone know why this would be happening?!

This is caused by the adverts that eBay fill the pages with.

Download and install Chrome for Mac and then install AdBlock Plus from the extensions tab in Chrome.

End of problem.

I have been suffering from this for ages to the extent that I find the eBay website unusable now!
